The company is primarily involved in the production and trading of wine. It is comprised of two main businesses, namely Bodegas Felix Solis and Viña Albali. The company is one of the largest wine producers in the Valdepeñas region of Spain. Operating a winery complex on the western edge of Valdepeñas, the company has a capacity of producing 120 million liters of wine; the company is in the process of expanding its capacity up to 200 million liters. The company produces a number of wines, including Los Molinos, Diego de Almagro, Soldepeñas, Castillo de Soldepeñas, Caliza and Tierra de Castilla Wines. Meanwhile, Viña Albali produces the following wines: Gran Reserva de Familia, Gran Reserva, Reserva, Reserva Cabernet Tempranillo, Crianza, Tempranillo, Young Whites, Bataneros, Rosado Tempranillo, Rosado Tempranillo and Sendas del Rey Crianza. It also produces several wines apart from Valdepeñas, such as Rioja, Rueda or Ribera de Duero, in addition to producing Tierra de Castilla wines and quality table wines. The company's vineyards in Viña Albali and Los Molinos Estates grows a variety of grapes, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Viura and Airen. It also has a bottling plant in Shanghai (China) and offices and warehouses in France (1990) and the Czech Republic (1999), as well as a bottling plant in Tenerife, established in 1993. The company exports 40 percent of its wine production by volume, mainly to Western Europe, which accounts for 80 percent of their exports. The company has its origins in the 1950s when Félix Solís Fernández moved from Villanueva de los Infantes near Ciudad Real to Valdepeñas and bought an old bodega in the center of the town. This is where the wine was first produced. The company was incorporated in 1977.
